these events are an integral part of the annual calendar. Whether dealing with
electrical safety, flammable materials, fire prevention in retail premises, the
selection and purchasing of emergency equipment, the growing arson threat or any

Organise
workshops and training courses on many aspects of fire safety. Determined by
members 'needs', they can range from the legal responsibilities of managers, to
instruction in how to use a portable extinguisher.

Panel
representatives provide local media with a source for authoritative fire
information. Welcome publicity is gained through articles and press releases, as
well as interviews, broadcasts on local radio and television. |
Held annually in September, the week is organised by the Central Fire Liaison
Panel and promoted by
The Fire Protection Association. A different theme is
adopted each year, which groups support by staging local events and activities.
